Privacy Policy

Our Commitment

Restova is a photo restoration app. We collect the minimum data needed to restore your photos and run the service. No user accounts, no tracking across apps, no selling your data.

What We Collect

When you use Restova, the following data is processed:

• Photos you choose to restore. When you pick a photo, it is uploaded to our server and forwarded to our AI image processing provider (Replicate.com) for restoration. The restored result is returned to your device. Photos are not stored by us after processing. Our processing provider may retain the uploaded image temporarily (up to 24 hours) per their standard terms, after which it is deleted.
• Device identifier (vendor ID). Used server-side to enforce a small free-tier limit (3 free restorations per device) and prevent abuse. This identifier is specific to Restova and cannot be used to track you across other apps or companies.
• Subscription and purchase data. If you subscribe, Apple handles the payment and provides a receipt to our subscription management provider (RevenueCat) so we can verify your subscription status. We receive subscription events (start, renewal, cancellation) but never your payment details.

What We Don't Do

• We don't require an account or email to use the app.
• We don't sell your data to third parties.
• We don't use your data or photos for advertising.
• We don't track you across apps or websites.
• We don't train AI models on your photos.
• We don't store your restored photos on our servers.

Third-Party Services

Restova relies on the following services:

• Replicate — for AI photo restoration. See their privacy policy.
• RevenueCat — for subscription management. See their privacy policy.
• Apple — handles the App Store and in-app purchase flow. See Apple's privacy policy.
• Cloudflare — hosts our backend servers. See their privacy policy.

Permissions

• Photo library access — used only when you pick a photo to restore. The app reads only the photos you explicitly select.
• Save to Photos — used when you tap Save on a restored photo.

Children's Privacy

Restova is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. The app is rated 4+.

Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA or UK, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Since Restova does not require an account, the main personal data we hold is your device identifier tied to your free-tier usage count. To request deletion, email us from the device in question and we will erase that record.
